Lyon Technologies has something important to pass along: The San Diego Zoo Global Institute for Conservation Research has a project that consists in planting 10,000 native plants at Lake Hodges this winter. One of our Customer Sales Representatives, Chelsea Betancourt, is a current and active volunteer for San Diego Zoo Global, and she would love for you to join her, or go on your own to help restore an amazing location. Some groups of volunteers have planted over 500 plants in a single day! This number is impressive, but the project needs more volunteers. It would be a great opportunity to learn about native plants and to help build healthy habitat for our local wildlife. The goal is to expand the fire resistant native vegetation that supports world-renowned biodiversity at Lake Hodges.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED?
Contact us to RSVP then choose a day to help planting! All you will need to bring is your enthusiasm and the people responsible for the project will provide all the tools and plants. You will be digging holes, installing plants in their new homes and watering them to ensure they survive their first few months.
